- You need to read a great many books if you want to learn English. (İngilizce öğrenmek istiyorsan bayağı  çok kitap okuman gerekir.)

► Much

Much, daima sayılamayan isimlerle kullanılır ve sayılamayan isimlerin çoğulu olmayacağı için isimler daima tekil olurlar. Much çoğunlukla soru cümlelerinde ve olumsuz cümlelerde kullanılır.

Few ile a few arasında fark vardır.

a few; cümleyi söyleyenin nazarında "birkaç, az ama yeterli" anlamındadır.
few; cümleyi söyleyenin nazarında "yok denecek kadar az" anlamındadır.

Examples;

- I have a few books in my bookcase.

- I have few books in my book case.

Very few yerine only a few de kullanılabilir.

Little ile a little arasında fark vardır. A little genelde "biraz, az" manasında kullanılır. Little ise "yok denecek kadar az" manasında kullanılır.

Examples;

- I have a little money.  (Biraz param var.)
(Cümleyi söyleyen kişi yeterli parası olduğunu söylemek istemektedir.)

- I have little money.

- He drank very little milk. (O çok az süt içti.)

- There is very little butter in the fridge. (Buzdolabında çok az tereyağı var.)
