Times and Place in Relative Clause

Relative clause cümlelerinde "when" ve "where" bağlaçlarını yer ve zamanla ilgili bilgi verirken kullanırız.

Examples;

Turkey won the world cup in 2003. It was the year when we moved to England for my new job. (Türkiye 2003 yılında dünya kupasını kazandı. O yıl bizim yeni işim için İngiltere'ye taşındığımız yıldı.)

I always remember our holiday in Spain. It was the year when I had the happiest times of my life. (İspanya'daki tatilimizi hep hatırlarım. Hayatımın en mutlu yılıydı.)

Do you remember the place where met the first time? (Seninle ilk tanıştığımız yeri hatırlıyor musun?)

New York is the city where many different cultures live in peace and harmony. (New York birçok farklı kültürün barış ve uyum içinde yaşadığı bir yerdir.)

Aşağıdaki cümlelerde iki farklı bilginin bir cümlede nasıl birleştirileceğiyle ilgili örnekler yer almaktadır.

- I live in the city where I study.
- I live in the city that / which I study in.
- I live in the city in which I study.

The bar in London is still there. I met my husband in that bar.
